Marcel Kombia

Percussion

Boawéssé Kombia, also known as Marcel, hails from Burkina Faso. After 17 years steeped in Sahelian rhythms, he embarked on a journey to Côte d'Ivoire, aspiring to nurture his artistic career. His encounters with notable figures like Fax Clarke and Wountey paved his path in the music world. Settling in France in 1991, he formed the band SAWURI. His albums "HOPE" (1992), "tchoko=tchoko" (1994), and others, reflect his nostalgia for his cultural roots. Transitioning into a percussionist, he orchestrated djembe and vocal workshops, fostering musical joy and collaboration. Through the universal language of music, he created moments of shared expression.
