Gast Waltzing, a Grammy award-winning composer, arranger, and conductor, was born in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. Starting his musical journey at age 7, he studied in the conservatories of Luxembourg, Brussels, and Paris. Always considering himself a musician, Waltzing has recorded CDs with jazz groups, composed film music for over 200 TV and feature films, and won a Grammy in 2016 for his collaboration with Angelique Kidjo. He is the Professor of Trumpet and head of the Jazz Department at the Luxembourg Conservatory, working with the Orchestra Philharmonique du Luxembourg and various symphonic orchestras worldwide.
