Born in Luxembourg, Malou Garofalo began her clarinet studies at the Conservatoire d'Esch-sur-Alzette. After two years of advanced studies at the Conservatoire Royal de Musique de Bruxelles, she continued her studies at the Hochschule für Musik Saar with Eduard Brunner, where she obtained her Konzertreife diploma in clarinet and chamber music. At the same time, she worked with Olivier Dartevelle at the Conservatoire de Luxembourg, graduating with a Concert Diploma. She currently teaches clarinet at the Conservatoire d'Esch-sur-Alzette and is principal clarinet with the Luxembourg Chamber Orchestra.
