Vaishnavi Ramakrishnan is a Luxembourg-based jazz singer and performer with roots in South India, shaped by her experiences across Asia and Europe. Born in India and raised in Bangkok, she has also lived in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, and now Luxembourg.
She began her musical training in Carnatic music, the classical tradition of South India, and is currently pursuing a diploma in Vocal Jazz at the Conservatoire de la Ville de Luxembourg, where she studies jazz vocal technique, improvisation, and ensemble performance. She has performed in jazz clubs across Bangkok, with ensembles in Luxembourg, and at various cultural and corporate events.
Music is her way of understanding and connecting with different cultures, languages, and people. Her evolving style draws inspiration from artists across genres and regions, seamlessly blending modal traditions with jazz. She is particularly drawn to projects that bring together people from diverse backgrounds, believing that music is a universal language—one that sparks joy and fosters shared experience.
