Maz, from “MAZ UNIVERZE, ” emerged from a small conservative town in Luxembourg, where the plan for a traditional life was instilled in him from birth in 1999. It took some time for his beautiful yet macabre poetry notes to emerge from his bedroom drawer, and for the pride flag to appear among his metal posters. Today, he expresses his thoughts through an explosion of emo rap with references to punk and metal music. He skillfully mixes rap with distorted screams and melodic hooks, creating a form of expression that is dark yet hopeful. When Maz takes the stage, he captivates the audience like the limbs of a giant puppet. A powerful collective monster that fights against social injustice and inspires everyone to accept both their dark side and their light. This captivating energy seems to have escaped the underground, earning him appearances at iconic festivals such as Sziget and ESNS, as well as the award for Best Live Performance at the Luxembourg Music Awards in 2022. Maz is currently based in Brussels and is working on his next album while launching his EP “EMO SEASON.”
