Zita Csanyi

Flute and vocals

Zita Csanyi is a teacher by training and an experienced entertainer, and ever since the children arrived her motivation has been to pass on her love of music and the way she was lucky enough to learn it. The Kodaly method, which has its roots in Hungary, has given her a very solid foundation and high standards in both choral singing and instrumental music. She runs early-learning music workshops for a wide range of groups, from young children to adults with multiple disabilities. She also works with music in two palliative care units. Her main instrument for concerts is the transverse flute, either through classical music or through singing in the trio S'Islands through various improvisations (and many other instruments for early musical education…) She likes to surprise people with lesser-known instruments from the folklore of her country.
