What role does music play for LGBTIQ+ people seeking international protection?

In this podcast, we welcome Didier Schneider, Director of the Centre CIGALE, and Franklin, a young man seeking asylum in Luxembourg who benefits from the support of CIGALE. CIGALE is a professional center in Luxembourg offering advice and support to anyone with questions about sexual orientation, coming-out and gender identity.

Indeed, LGBTIQ+ DPI people are in a situation particularly at risk of exclusion. In this podcast, we'll look at a number of music-related issues:

the role of music in expressing through codes what LGBTIQ+ people could not talk about in their countries of origin,

but also the difficulty and need to set up artistic and musical group projects to free up these people's speech when they arrive in Luxembourg, where LGBTIQ+ DPI people don't feel free to talk about these subjects in their reception centers.
