Music that brings people together – artists committed to the EME Foundation

Every day, many musicians commit to the EME Foundation to bring music to places where it is not yet present.

At the Fondation EME, music is not just about notes and melodies. It becomes a universal language, a deep bond between individuals, a comforting presence in places that are often overlooked. If we succeed in bringing music where it is lacking, it’s thanks to the artists who accompany us with generosity and conviction.

Some "experience every concert as a bright interlude, a true human connection at the heart of care and vulnerability" (Chantal Kirsch). For others, "it’s the sincere joy of singing Luxembourgish songs together with an incredibly grateful audience" (Pit Vinandy).

Paulo Lameiro committed for many years, puts music at the service of strong social causes. For him, "it's not about putting artists on stage, but about bringing music into people’s lives." "Everyone will experience moments of social exclusion." Frin Wolter "to live in a society that includes her in every moment of life, even the difficult ones."

Omid Amouddin, a refugee musician involved with the Foundation for 2 years, says he is "grateful to have the opportunity to continue making music." During the COVID period, filled with challenges for musicians, Amit Dhuri felt "a sense of belonging and acceptance in a diverse culture, which became and remains a motivation to attend every EME concert, workshop, and event."

Karin Melchert got involved with the Foundation to "share her art with an audience that doesn’t have the opportunity to experience a real performance and who cherishes every moment of these concerts." "Every concert is a little surprise. It’s beautiful to meet people through music, to see what songs they love and how they laugh, dream, dance or cry" (Stephan Kinsch).

For Dilyana Paiskova, "EME’s mission is very noble and respectful." That’s why she "decided to collaborate with EME, bringing the gems of her repertoire to the public. The sincere love from the audience brings me so much joy and inspiration."

"I believe in the impact these projects can have on young people, especially those who are disadvantaged. Knowing that music changed my life for the better and gave me a real perspective, I’m happy to share my knowledge and passion" (Sacha Hanlet). For Stephany Ortega, this commitment offers the opportunity to combine two things she loves: "using music to create a positive impact in our society."

"A truly magical and revitalizing interlude, " is how the Emaho Duo (Rebecca Van Bogaert et Mike Floris) describe the joy of living these musical moments. EME reminds them of "the essential impact of music, both for the individual and the community." Cosy Turmes shares that "touching people through music gives a new dimension to my own life."

Leticia Acurcio, speaks with sensitivity about concerts held "in places with heavy energy at times, " but where "the love people give back surpasses everything." For her, "it’s an honor to have these opportunities, and therefore an honor to be involved with the Foundation."

Eventually, Nicole Bausch finds in the Fondation EME's values the same ones she carries in her own artistic projects: kindness, freedom of expression, and openness to all, without judgment.

EME bréngt Musek dohin wou Musek net hikënnt, EME erlaabt de Mënschen sou ze si wei se sinn, bei EME ass de Wee, d’Zil an d’Resultat vum Projet eng Plus-value, mais am Vierdergrond steet ëmmer d’Freed vum Participant. Dofir engagéieren ech mech immens gären fir EME(Nicole Bausch).

These artists, all unique, share the same conviction: music can transform, soothe, and create connection. Thanks to them, the Fondation EME continues to make hearts resonate where it’s needed the most.
